Mayoor's Family Holiday, Picos de Europa
What a privilege it was for Martin and I to welcome the remarkable Patel family to the Picos de Europa, sixteen members of the family aged from twelve to fifty plus, threw themselves without exception into all the activities showing a huge amount of enthusiasm, humour and graciousness. We trekked and climbed mountains, stayed overnight in the mountains, swam in rivers and sea, walked the Costa Verde, rode horses, canoed down the Rio Sella, canyoned in the Desfiladera de Hermida, enjoyed Aurora’s cooking, tackled rock faces in the Liebana valley and hunted for dinasaur footprints… awesome!
