Geraldine Westrupp
While my children were young I trained as a teacher and a community worker, became a passionate rock climber and for the past 25 years have travelled to many exciting and beautiful places around the world, pursuing my own mountaineering ambitions to a very high level and guiding others on their own personal adventures in wild and remote places.

In 2004 I sold my cottage in the mountains of North Wales, my home for many years, and bought a tranquil retreat in the timeless and un-spoilt region of Northern Spain’s ‘Green’ Asturias, the seeds of this move can be traced back to a brilliant rock climbing holiday that I enjoyed in this stunning region several years ago with a group of girlfriends. 2009 will see me continuing to develop and offer some exciting new trekking/walking/photography holidays in this ‘Tolkien-like’ mountain region of the Picos de Europa
Nowadays I spend my time organizing holidays in Spain but based in another equally amazing country, Iceland where I am soon to be offering photography/adventure holidays in the uniquely, wild landscape of this volcanically active Island.
Occasionally I travel further afield to guide in the mountains of the greater ranges, 2008 saw me leading treks in the mountains of Nepal, India and Bhutan. My love of travel and adventures in wild places is reflected in my photo gallery pages. Enjoy!
If you would like me to organise your walking/trekking/photography holiday in either Picos de Europa or Iceland please contact me to discuss your ideas.
