Asturias and the Picos de Europa

Asturias, Cantabria and the Picos de Europa

With about two hundred miles of rugged Atlantic coast reminiscent of Cornwall, magnificent mountain scenery which includes the Picos de Europa and the Redes Natural Park, a timeless way of life steeped in culture that is enchantingly different from the busy Southern Costas, Asturias, Cantabria and Castilla de Leon offer some of the most attractive and varied mountain-trekking in the whole of Europe. The scenery in the Picos de Europa and La Cordillera Cantábrica is spectacular. Immense slopes and dramatic gorges, lush green valleys and beautiful forests, outstanding flora and fauna crystal clear streams, jagged peaks dominating the horizon, quaint villages, superb cuisine and friendly hospitable locals; expect a superb holiday in an area that is still largely unknown except by the Spanish!

“From the initial planning to the final plan, Geraldine was super in her communications with us. There were 16 members (including 4 from USA) in my party and she accomodated all the various requests and understood the variety of requests very well…the group comments ranged from brilliant, super experience, the best holiday to exceeded my wildest expectations.” Mayoor Patel August 2010
